Cabernet Franc is a lesser known varietal, and there are only a handful of Napa Valley brands produce and bottle it as such. Here at Schweiger, we bottle it specifically for our club to have the chance to compare differences in Cabernet Sauvignon, and to see what Cabernet Franc brings to the blending table. A lighter body style and bit of pepper, with all of the aging capacity of our Cabernet Sauvignon. Unfortunately, we do not have much of a library for you to choose from here, so snap up a few cases to watch how it develops over time.

VINTAGE AND WINEMAKER’S NOTES: The 2014 Cabernet Franc presents a unique interpretation of our estate vineyard. The nose is rich with intense layers of blackberry, ripe cherry, and hints of Herbs de Provence. The lush mouthfeel and lingering fruit at the finish will seduce you into a deeper exploration of what mountain fruit can achieve.
